Celebrating the Launch of a Mission Rooted in Culture, Creativity and Community

Lusanet Collective is honored to share that our November 9, 2025 event, “Empower Her,” and the official launch of our nonprofit initiative, Lusanet Voices, were recently featured in The Armenian Weekly. The article, written by Talar Keoseyan, highlights an evening that brought together entrepreneurs, creatives and small-business leaders for meaningful dialogue centered on authenticity, cultural relevance and community-driven growth.

A Night Designed to Empower Through Connection

Hosted in partnership with the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, Empower Her was more than a networking event—it was a gathering of voices, stories and shared experiences. The evening welcomed women entrepreneurs and professionals from diverse industries to explore how identity and heritage can shape powerful, lasting brands in today’s digital landscape.

Through two engaging panel discussions, attendees explored:

  • How authenticity strengthens brand storytelling

  • The role of cultural heritage in shaping business identity

  • Navigating social media while maintaining integrity and purpose

  • Building meaningful relationships with audiences—not just followings

  • Translating personal values into professional impact

The conversations were thoughtfully moderated by Lucy Hacopian, co-founder of Lusanet Collective, who guided panelists through real-world insights on branding, influence and entrepreneurial resilience.

Panelists included an inspiring lineup of professionals—Nona Melkoni, Yulia Gonzalez, Ashley Erikson, Anet Abnous, Diana Mkryan and Kara Content—each sharing their own journey of building businesses grounded in purpose while adapting to an ever-changing marketplace.

Introducing Lusanet Voices: From Collective to Community Impact

While the evening sparked conversation and connection, it also marked a milestone moment—the public unveiling of Lusanet Voices, the newly established charitable arm of Lusanet Collective.

Lusanet Voices was created to extend our mission beyond retail and into long-term community support. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, it is dedicated to:

  • Supporting creatives, artisans and entrepreneurs through education and mentorship

  • Creating cultural programming that preserves heritage while fostering innovation

  • Providing platforms for emerging voices through exhibitions, workshops and events

  • Building access to resources that empower small businesses to grow sustainably

  • Encouraging collaboration across generations and disciplines

At its core, Lusanet Voices reflects what Lusanet Collective has always stood for—uplifting stories, honoring culture and creating opportunities where creativity and entrepreneurship meet.

A Shared Vision for Authentic Entrepreneurship

The feature in The Armenian Weekly recognizes a growing need for spaces that blend professional development with cultural awareness. Events like Empower Her demonstrate that success is not only measured by growth metrics, but by the strength of community, identity and shared values.

For Lusanet Collective founders Lusine Simonyan and Anet Abnous, this moment represents an evolution—from a boutique and creative hub into a broader movement dedicated to empowering others.

Looking Ahead

The launch of Lusanet Voices is just the beginning. Future initiatives will continue to expand educational programming, collaborative events and opportunities designed to nurture both emerging and established creatives.

We are deeply grateful to The Armenian Weekly for sharing this milestone and to every attendee, speaker and supporter who helped make November 9th a meaningful step forward.

Together, we are building more than businesses—we are building community, culture and lasting impact.
