Astghik Aguletsi

The collection is called “Remnants of the Past”, similar to the title of the book authored by my mother, Lousik Aguletsi. My mother used to give me old buttons every now and then, and I liked to make bijou out of them, combining the old and the new, trying not to divert from national mentality. Every woman is looking for some new jewelry, new combinations in her jewel-box. I decided to use old ornaments when making this collection, as each fragment holds a message, a spirit which should be preserved in every Armenian’s family.
